1. Homemade Gluten-Free Pasta:
Ingredients:
2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
3 large pastured eggs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour and salt.
Make a well in the center and add the eggs and olive oil.
Gradually incorporate the flour into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough and cut it into your desired pasta shape.
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes or until al dente. Drain and serve with your favorite sauce.
2. Homemade Marinara Sauce:
Ingredients:
1 BPA free can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Sea salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon honey (optional, to balance acidity)
Instructions:
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and honey (if using). Stir well.
Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for at least 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Adjust seasoning to taste. Use immediately or let it cool before storing in a jar in the refrigerator.
